Position Summary:
The Operations Specialist II will be responsible for administering several processes in support of ICANN’s Global Domains Division Operations team.  The position will coordinate the work of vendors for quality and on time delivery within budget, provide services to the customers of the GDD and work cross functionally to execute the various processes of responsibility. This position will report to a Manager or Director of Operations in ICANN’s Global Domains Division and will assist various members of the team in the execution of operational processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer processes by executing complex, defined procedures with oversight from a manager or lead
  • Coordinate across functions to identify, research, and resolve complex issues
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support process improvement initiatives
  • Use SalesForce.com and other systems to:
    • Monitor, update and respond to customer requests or inquiries regarding the processes the individual administers 
    • Communicate with customer, vendors, or internal subject matter experts to obtain the required information to process the requests or answer questions
    • Performing transactions and updating data within the system 
  • Track and communicate the status of work assigned to self, team, or vendors 
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure that deliverables meet quality and timeliness expectations
  • Create, generate, and update reports to inform senior management of progress
  • Develop subject matter expertise in the areas of assigned responsibility
  • Perform data validation tasks against data input by you or your team
  • Identify, research, and work with Manager or Supervisor to resolve issues
  • Other duties as assigned or requested



  • 4-year degree from an accredited college or university required
  • 2-5 years relevant work experience desired
  • Industry experience in technology, manufacturing, logistics, or banking preferred
  • Skilled in vendor management
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills 
  • Strong information analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to research complex subjects and interpret findings
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers, subject matter experts, and customers
  • Be comfortable working in fast-paced, team environment
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies, organizational and procedural changes
  • Ability to perform complex, pre-defined processes
