Hillwood is currently seeking a Development Manager to join the Hillwood Communities team with a focus on current and future development activity in the Austin market. The position will initially concentrate on executing the development activity for Hillwood’s Wolf Ranch master-planned community located in Georgetown, Texas immediately north of Austin.
Wolf Ranch is a 1,120-acre project that at build out will have approximately 2,600 single family lots, 50 acres of commercial tracts and an extensive amenity program including extensive landscape, hardscape and trail improvements. To date the project team has delivered 386 single family lots, a first in class amenity center and regional infrastructure improvements that serve 635 multi-family units. Currently Hillwood has approximately 650 single family residential lots in the development pipeline. Hillwood will commence construction activity on its next phase in December 2018. The long-term vision of this position is overseeing multiple projects as Hillwood Communities expands its presence in the Austin market.
This position will be responsible for all horizontal plan approvals, infrastructure construction activity as well as landscape and amenity construction projects. More specifically, the position will oversee third-party consultants, prepare and maintain budgets and project schedules, bidding and awarding construction contracts, managing general contractor and subcontractor activity, and overseeing all acceptance requirements with local municipalities. In addition, the position will interface with homebuilder construction teams within Wolf Ranch as needed. Our ideal candidate will have a strong construction background and understanding of the production homebuilding industry, possess strong communication skills and the desire to be find solutions to challenges that arise. Furthermore, the position will need a strong understanding of the development requirements and environmental regulations that pertain to construction activity in Williamson County region.

Interface with land planners, civil engineers, landscape architects, city/ county officials and other governmental entities and homebuilding client team members.
