Experience in decontamination, instrument processing or similar work required
Demonstrates thorough knowledge and understanding of the operations in the Surgical Supply and Processing Department. . Provides direction and leadership for delivery of services in the Surgical Supply and Processing department. Plans and implements budgets, monitors productivity reports and collaborates with other leaders to facilitate favorable financial performance. Maintains current knowledge of regulatory standards and evidence based practices for scope of care, and ensures compliance. Plays an integral role in departmental operations, including but not limited to; recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, promoting, discharging, assigning work, evaluating, rewarding, and disciplining. Actively supports and participates in shared governance.
Graduate of a certified tech program or similar program or completion of a on the job training program
Prefer bachelor degree in related field
Prefer leadership experience
Proficiency in clinical decision making and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, and Excel) preferred
Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
