Sales Manager - Nutritional Ingredients

Location: MN - Minneapolis

Our focus is on supporting quality and innovation with our customers by ensuring the highest quality and a consistent supply of our Organic, Non-GMO, proteins, fibers, sweeteners, vitamins and marine omega-3 ingredients.

Our Food Ingredients team is currently looking to hire a Sales Manager to drive sales growth with our organic and Non-GMO pea protein and fiber products. This role will be responsible for developing new ingredient sales domestically through targeted prospecting, managing and growing business within existing accounts, negotiating contracts and pricing. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and a hunter mentality for bringing in new business. This individual will be highly self-motivated with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with all members of the team. Previous experience selling Pea protein, Soy protein, Inulin or other natural fibers into the nutrition and food markets preferred.


Principal Accountabilities:

• Perform sales calls and develop new business

• Manage new and existing accounts, prepare contracts, participate in trade shows and technical seminar presentations

• Contact and sell to customers at various levels within organizations

• Understand customer needs and develop positive working relationships along with a clear understanding of the customer base and future trends in the supplement market

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required

• Ability to learn and grasp technical detail around products and application

• Ideally 2-5 years sales/marketing experience the in nutritional/functional food ingredients, preferably in the Dietary Supplements industry.

• Must be able to travel 40-50%

• Strong presentation skills required, including verbal and written communication

• Excellent negotiation skills, demonstrating a proven track record

• Creative thinking and problem-solving

• Excellent organizational and computer
