iP-Plus Consulting has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Data Architect. The Data Archi-tect will have the ability to carry out assigned tasks with limited need for supervision and work well in a fast-paced, agile and fluid environment. The DataArchitect will possess strong prob-lem-solving skills as well as consistent attention to detail. This is an active development position requiring the ability to design, implement and guide others to develop efficient data pro-cessing and reporting pipelines..

Essential Job Functions:

  • Participate in building, evolving and/or maintaining: Enterprise Business Glossary, Conceptual Data Model(s), Data Models, Data Naming Standards, Enterprise Data Dictionary, Metadata Repository, Data Asset Inventory, and Data/Information Flows.
  • Communicate with relevant data stakeholders to research and help resolve data lineage, data anomalies and/or data quality issues.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to foster a culture of Data Governance within the enterprise.
  • Identify and/or promote best practices, standards, and methodologies to assist in the execution and implementation of Data Governance.
  • Quickly understand the client’s business issues and data challenges.
  • Design and implement data models to support analytics and reporting initiatives.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous delivery of a sophisticated data pipeline supporting development and operations.
  • Review current database architecture and propose solutions to scale processing and re-porting functionality.
  • Key contributor on business intelligence projects and become an industry domain ex-pert.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical staff to design industry-leading solutions.
  • Proactively analyze and bring forth ideas for continuous improvement of the platform.

Required Skills:

  • ​Due to the sensitivity of the customer requirements, US Citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years’ experience working within a commercially focused team, Computer Science or related degree preferred.
  • Expert in Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehouse enterprise platforms.
  • Strong customer service/client facing skills.
  • Experience consuming and documenting client requirements and successfully producing analysis and reports based on client needs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience working on large and complex data analytics projects that have delivered improved commercial outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of at least one programming language such as, VBA, R, Python etc.
  • Knowledge and experience working with SQL and SQL based visual analytics tools, such as but not limited to tableau.
  • Advanced skills working with Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of data warehouse technical concepts and architecture.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working with large volumes of data.
  • Business or commercial related qualifications.
  • Experience or knowledge of working with commercial / procurement delivery teams.
  • Experience with spend analysis projects and use of related spend analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of writing complex SQL statements; SQL Conversion, report writing, data warehousing, BI, etc.
  • Analytics tool certification.
