Power 106FM-Actify Marketing in Los Angeles is currently seeking an energetic, highly confident, hardworking, and self-motivated individual to join us as the Actify National Sales Manager (ANSM).  In this capacity, the ANSM will cultivate clients, manage projects & account work and execute marketing plans. Work will span multiple accounts, so multitasking and organization are a must.

 The ANSM will plan, direct, control and coordinate local, regional and national sales campaigns for properties in the Meruelo portfolio as well as with our festival partners across the US. This person will conceptualize and execute on national sales and sponsorship programs that deliver revenue targets and maximize profit margins. The ANSM will develop short and long-term sales strategies, overseeing the development and integration of new account acquisition, maintain and enhance current Meruelo Radio Corporate Sales Partners/Advertisers. 

The focus will be on developing multi-media marketing solutions for local, regional and national prospects that would leverage key assets from all of the entertainment and festival locations and venues. This director will be required to utilize ACTIFY assets in order to build national sales programs that go beyond traditional packages. Programs should provide clients with comprehensive marketing solutions that incorporate intellectual property, experiential, digital, multimedia, onsite, ticketing, and hospitality offerings.

The ideal candidate will increase the Sponsorship Revenue and market share as well as create conceptual opportunities in the marketplace in order to grow the National business.

Key to success in this role will be to develop deep, collaborative relationships with national sponsors. In addition to being an excellent negotiator, the ANSM will manage contractual issues, including rights management, legal and financial implications of the deals.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Experience cultivating new clients
  • Experience creating and selling campaigns through solution based sales programs
  • Evidence of high level prospecting for ideal customers, creating valid business reasons to get appointments, conducting effective customer needs analysis and closing skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of a high degree of developmental business experience at the Marketing Director/Brand Manager/Regional Sales Manager level with targeted categories (i.e. Automotive, Entertainment, Beverages, Telecom, Shoes, Apparel and any other relevant emerging categories)
  • Proven success with proposal creation, presentation, execution and recap of comprehensive programs.
  • Minimum of five (5) years media/marketing sales experience and a proven track record of success
  • Demonstrated ability to develop trust and relationships easily
  • Track Record of strong problem solving skills, high courage, business acumen, highly motivated to win and tireless work intensity.
  • Experience in developing seven-figure programs you can tell us about
  • An understanding of consumer behavior and a desire to help advertisers with their marketing challenge

Candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Be motivated by financial success and have the skill set to be in the top 1% of the sales organization.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.  College degree preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and state mandated automobile insurance required.
  • Ability to travel and work long hours.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision
  • Ability to organize workload for effective implementation
