Position Summary:

The Department of Psychology and Counseling in the College of Education and Behavioral Science seeks a highly qualified Temporary Assistant Professor of Psychology for the Undergraduate Bachelor of Science Degree Program in Psychology. The position may be converted to a full time tenure track position after the first year, pending budget approval.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Teaching five courses per semester in the B.S. Psychology program may include, but not be limited to, General Psychology and other courses depending on applicant’s specialty.
  • Research space and support will be available and encouraged.
  • Summer teaching may be available.


Knowledge, skills, and abilities required or applicable to the position responsibilities and area of specialization, including special abilities.

General Days/Hours:

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance


All faculty members are expected to assume student academic advisement responsibilities in addition to their regular teaching loads.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Doctoral Degree in Psychology (ABD acceptable) from a recognized accredited university.

A degree in psychology is required; however, the area of specialty is open.
