The Department of Criminology, Sociology, and Geography at Arkansas State University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Criminology beginning Fall 2019.

Graduate-level competence in Criminology, Sociology, and Geography related specialty areas.
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The Department of Criminology consists of 13 full-time faculty members whose research interests include social justice, rural and urban drug markets, transnational and domestic terrorism, and political violence.
Currently working on a number of grants, faculty members are encouraged to seek out research funding and are rewarded for doing so by the university.
Located in the burgeoning city of Jonesboro, Arkansas State University is a public institution with over 14,000 students. Jonesboro is conveniently located within driving distance to Memphis, TN, Little Rock and Hot Springs Arkansas, and numerous State and National Parks.
A PhD in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Sociology, or closely related discipline conferred by the time of appointment
ABDs will be given full consideration; a Ph.D. in Criminology or Criminal Justice is preferred.
