POSITION DESCRIPTION

Architecture49 Inc. is currently seeking a Regional Architectural Lead to work out of our Halifax office. This position will focus on healthcare projects and be responsible for the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a Senior Healthcare Architect in the Atlantic Region and be part of the Leadership Team
  • Work with the Managing Principal and National Healthcare Leader to create a long-term strategic plan to develop and meet market and target client goals
  • Assume leadership of our existing body of work with new and existing clients and a team of talented architects working on healthcare projects and other key sectors as opportunities require
  • Validate that designs and deliverables conform to guidelines, code requirements and other regulations
  • Full range of architectural services from proposals through design, contract documents, tendering, contract administration and warranty
  • Attend sector related conferences and continued education opportunities
  • Advise team members on design and/or technical solutions specific to the project types
  • Attend design team meetings
  • Manage project schedule budgets and performance

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
  • Must be a Registered Architect able to be licensed in Nova Scotia
  • Minimum 8-12 years of experience in healthcare architecture
  • Strong healthcare experience in Atlantic Canada
  • Experience with multiple delivery models including design-build, P3, and design-bid-build in Atlantic Canada
  • Experience as an account or client manager, including financial management
  • Strong listener, genuinely interested in people, and able to build followership among teammates and clients, alike
  • Track record of developing new business and relationships with a variety of clients who may own, operate, develop, construct and lead healthcare projects
  • Collaborative in your work-style, always looking for a more effective way to do things
  • A great communicator – whether verbally or in written form, people understand your ideas, and the way you share them
  • A good mentor – the people that you work with feel that you have their best interests at heart
  • Extensive background in healthcare planning and design
  • A resourceful and creative problem solver, and you are motivated and energetic
  • Interested in the drivers and ideas impacting the current and future healthcare industry.
