WSP is currently seeking Junior Construction Supervisors to join our Building - Structures group, located at offices and construction sites within the GTA. WSP is dedicated to providing our Junior Construction Supervisors with more than just a glimpse into the world of Construction Supervision. Involved in cutting-edge projects which are pivotal to the enhancement and growth of our regional Transportation Infrastructure and built environment, WSP's Construction Supervisors are required to be dedicated to quality and determined to grow their career by developing a reputation for timely delivery of key projects. Working alongside the Senior Construction Supervisor, this is a great opportunity for Junior Construction Supervisors to learn on real-time projects and put themselves in a positive position for career advancement. 


  • Be the resident supervisor at the project site, and work independently, under the general direction of the Senior Construction Supervisor;
  • Support the Contract administration, and review site activities to ensure adherence to contract documents;
  • Conduct inspection of construction activities in accordance to the terms of the Construction Contract;
  • Carry out all quality assurance and quality control functions to confirm contractor's adherence to the construction contract documents; 
  • Be responsible for tracking the details of change notices to ensure sufficient information is gathered for the completion of as-constructed drawings;
  • Maintain daily inspection reports, document construction activities, record the progress and as-constructed details for the purposes of project closeout;
  • Monitor Contractor’s adherence to plans and specifications;
  • Represent WSP and the Client in a professional manner; 
  • Provide high quality reports and guidance to the project team & clients, in order to achieve the target business results; 
  • Other duties as assigned/required.


  • P.Eng or OAA or C.E.T designation, or Accredited Architectural or Building Technologist, licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario is an asset;
  • 5 years’ experience
  • Demonstrated experience in construction of transit facilities is an asset;
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising construction sites, safety, field engineering, site work inspections and work progress measurements relevant to the contemplated scope of Services for this Contract;
  • Availability to accommodate shift work; 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. .
