POSITION DESCRIPTION (Duties and Responsibilities):

Army Business Development (BD) Director responsibilities involve developing new business under Technatomy’s Army ITES-3S and Army RS3 IDIQ prime contracts and other vehicles.  This includes full opportunity lifecycle management to include identifying and maturing opportunities, developing and maturing a robust pipeline, obtaining opportunity pursuits approvals through a gate review process, supporting the development of strong proposals, and driving revenues that meet or exceed assigned targets.  The BD Director must have a have a strong Army and industry network, and a demonstrated strong track record of achieving/exceeding revenue targets in IT service sales.

  • Identify potential clients and the decision makers within the Army and build relationships.

  • Collaborate and or lead in the development of Account and Call Plans.

  • Manages resources to create, identify, develop, and qualify opportunities that result in measurable revenue growth

  • Achieve acquisition and sales goals through winning new business

  • Develop strategies to "shape" requirements and acquisition strategy

  • Identify and target new business markets, adjacencies, and partnerships

  • Develop short and long term pipeline of opportunities and effectively communicate all the opportunities and plans for management and technical teams

  • Demonstrate technology solutions, architectures, capabilities, and potential acquisition paths for early stage opportunities,

  • Working with internal technical and program management teams to develop responses for requests for information (RFI), market survey’s, white papers, presentations, briefings, and major event demonstrations

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of US Federal and DoD contracting

  • 10+ years related work experience with a majority related to business development, marketing, or technical and engineering solutions with US Army

  • Highly effective communicator to all levels within the company and with clients.

  • Must demonstrate high energy, integrity, strong business acumen, professionalism and commitment.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:

  • Ability to obtain DoD Secret or above clearance
  • Previous sales experience with the Army ITES 2/3 & Army RS 2/3 contracts
  • Experience working with the US Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) and US Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG)
  • Experience working with Army Computer Hardware Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS)

 

Education (Minimum Requirements):

  • Bachelor’s degree
