Phillis Wheatley Community School is currently seeking part time enrichment teachers in a variety of disciplines. We are seeking artists, athletes, fitness instructors, musicians, and entrepreneurs. At Phillis Wheatley Community School we prepare all of our students to attend a college-preparatory high school, graduate from a selective college, and contribute positively to the community. One way of doing this is by providing a variety of experiences for our scholars that cultivate well-rounded, lifelong learners.
Key Responsibilities and Courses
Enrichment Teachers at Wheatley middle school will teach a 9-week course. During this 9-week course, each teacher must facilitate students mastering a clear set of skills in their enrichment course. At the end of each 9 weeks, it is expected that each enrichment course will showcase their learnings and mastery in a schoolwide production (i.e. performance, exhibit, final competition, etc.)

- Cosmetology/Life Skills
- Band (Horns)- Currently Accepting Applications
- Band (Drumline)

Compensation: Commensurate with experience; up to 12 hours a week (4 days a week, 3 hours per day)
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit, walk, stand, talk, and hear.
Light lifting of equipment may be required (up to 20 lbs.)
