Position Summary Phillis Wheatley Community School is currently seeking part time enrichment teachers in a variety of disciplines. We are seeking artists, athletes, fitness instructors, musicians, and entrepreneurs. At Phillis Wheatley Community School we prepare all of our students to attend a college-preparatory high school, graduate from a selective college, and contribute positively to the community. One way of doing this is by providing a variety of experiences for our scholars that cultivate well-rounded, lifelong learners.
Key Responsibilities and Courses Enrichment Teachers at Wheatley middle school will teach a 9-week course. During this 9-week course, each teacher must facilitate students mastering a clear set of skills in their enrichment course. At the end of each 9 weeks, it is expected that each enrichment course will showcase their learnings and mastery in a schoolwide production (i.e. performance, exhibit, final competition, etc.)
