Basic Functions:

To provide leadership, direction and coordination in the planning, implementation, and improvement of maintenance services in a manner that is consistently driven for improved performance.Works within assigned areas to identify needed electrical maintenance and project work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Defines and provides estimates on the electrical requirements of identified projects.

  • Provides capital project justifications.

  • Manages the implementation of electrical work including material specifications, cost control, parts standardization, and communication with internal and external sources.

  • Provides technical guidance and expertise to electrical coordinator and assigned craft people.

  • Serves as a backup to the electrical coordinator in the assigned area, providing management of craft people and technical support for electrical trouble calls.

Position Requirements:

  • A four year degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • 3+ years of experience in a heavy industrial environment.   
  • Experienced with large motors, power distribution, and associated control.
  • Project experience, including installation and start-ups.
  • PLC and DCS experience a plus
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance systems (Work Order, Standard Jobs, APL’s, Equipment Register and Scheduling modules), Ellipse preferred.
  • Effective communication skills both oral & written.
  • Effective problem solving skills.
