Supervisor Auto/Diesel crews in the execution of :

  • Preventive maintenance inspections,
  • Troubleshooting mechanical/performance issues
  • Repair and rebuild of parts and equipment as needed to maintain our equipment fleet.   T
  • Monitoring, testing and repair of equipment to ensure minimized downtime resulting in reduced cost.

Enter Work Orders for any deficient conditions identified in the Mine Repair Shops, communicate with Mine Maintenance Section Manager for resource needs and work with scheduler to schedule work required.

Fill in for the Mine maintenance shop supervisors to provide vacation relief.

Evaluate shops needs and improvement opportunities and help support implementation improvement projects.

Plan and prioritize work assignments from the weekly work order packet on a daily basis by coordinating and communicating with operations, maintenance, and scheduling personnel.

Communicate work assignments to employees.

Coordinate, facilitate, and motivate employees to safely and efficiently execute and complete their work assignments.

Establish high performance standards for the employees; promote and encourage the achievement of these standards, provide feedback to employees on their progress, and implement disciplinary measures if necessary.

Update scheduling personnel on daily and weekly carry-over work.

Coordinate and facilitate departmental training.

Must be a leader who is self-motivated, a team player and results driven

Basic computer competencies, Windows and Microsoft Office preferred


Education Requirement: Two year degree in maintenance field preferred

Experience 0-3 years experience in managing maintenance crews.
