We have a unique career opportunity for a Civil Project Engineer in our Allentown Office. The ideal candidate has experience with civil transportation design and comprehensive knowledge of roadway projects and developing plans in accordance with PaDOT standards. The ideal candidate will be able to develop and mentor junior staff to maximize their full potential.

 

The Impact You Will Have:

  • Serve as the highway lead on transportation projects
  • Create and execute project work plans
  • Manage project teams, accountable for budget and schedule
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Contribute to PA Division strategic growth initiatives
  • Champion relationships with key clients, including the Pennsylvania DOT
  • Represent Benesch at industry and professional engagement events
  • Ability to identify opportunities and lead strategic project pursuits
  • Collaborate on regional growth strategy
  • Leadership track potential

 

What You Will Need:

  • A minimum of 4 years of diverse and progressive civil transportation design experience for PaDOT.
  • Licensed PE in the state of PA or planning to obtain licensure within one year.
  • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience working with public agencies, private entities and/or municipalities.
  • Progressive experience with developing plans specifications, and submissions utilizing Microstation and InRoads per PaDOT standards and requirements.
  • Excellent communication and client relation skills.
  • Strong organization skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules.
  • Positive experience interacting with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders.
  • Accustomed to working in a team environment on challenging projects.
  • Advanced use of CADD and assure compliance with project CADD standards
  • Ability to work independently and develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner.
