Structural Project Manager – Kansas City, KS

We have a career opportunity for a structural engineer with experience in the design and management of bridge and transportation projects. The ideal candidate will also have experience in bridge inspection, load ratings and asset management related services. This person will serve as a key leader in our Kansas Division and contribute to initiatives that drive the overall growth of the office.

The Impact You Will Have:

  • Serve as project manager on bridge design projects
  • Create and execute project work plans
  • Manage project teams, accountable for budget and schedule
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Contribute to Kansas Division strategic growth initiatives
  • Champion relationships with key clients, including KDOT and MoDOT
  • Represent Benesch at industry and professional engagement events
  • Ability to identify opportunities and lead strategic project pursuits

What You Will Need:

  • BSCE or related discipline
  • Registered Kansas Professional Engineer
  • Minimum of 8 years of bridge design experience including project management responsibility
  • Proven experience on KDOT or MoDOT bridge projects preferred
  • Seller/Doer mentality
  • A track record of adhering to design budgets and project schedules
  • Excellent communication and client relation skills
  • Strong understanding and familiarity with steel/concrete design software
  • Experience with bridge inspection, including completed NHI training a plus
  • Training in scour analysis, stream stability, fracture critical members, especially AWS, ASNT, confined space, certified climbing, and quality control of reports a plus
