Maintenance and Facilities Manager


Facility manager is responsible for the security, maintenance and services of various commercial properties in Missoula, Montana to ensure that they meet the needs of the organization and its employees.


  • Oversee vendors for services including security, maintenance, cleaning and construction (projects, renovations and refurbishments).

  • Supervise staff including electrical, HVAC and maintenance technicians.

  • Supervise and support organization safety program.

  • Coordinate system repairs and monitor system performance

  • Oversee the company’s facility operations.

  • Maintain compliance with local, state and federal regulations.

  • Responsible for inspecting buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.

  • Ensure facilities are safe and well-functioning.

  • Keep and maintain financial and non-financial records.

  • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.

  • Measure outcomes to assure operations fully serve WC’s Mission.

  • Serves as lead project manager on internal repair/renovations/construction projects.

  • Review and approve invoices, proposals and other service provider submittals.

  • Directs and coordinates to ensure compliance with contract requirements.

  • Thorough working knowledge of all phases of residential and commercial construction


Qualifications and training required:

  • At least 10-years’ experience in general contracting with 5 or more as a foreman.

  • Degree in building services engineering, facilities management or related discipline a plus

  • Framing, drywall repair and finish, door hardware knowledge and application a plus



  • Expectations of emergency on-call and flexible after hours for construction management

  • Normal business hours 7am until 4pm Monday through Friday
