POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Technician reports directly to the Warehouse Manager and is responsible for receiving, storing, stocking, and tracking all items as shipped to and from the warehouse or other storage areas. This person is also be responsible for reporting damaged stock items, keeping warehouse database current, maintaining the warehouse in an orderly fashion, keeping storage records, and other duties as required. This position is to support the warehousing duties in support of the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

-Receiving, Counting, Stocking and Recording items manually and electronically.

-Working with Manager to determine proper storage methods.

-Delivering materials to cell sites prior to construction

-Packing and Shipping items as required.

-Verifying accuracy of shipping documents.

-Storing items in an orderly fashion as required by the Warehouse Manager.

-Marking stocked items as required per Company Policy.

-Cleaning and maintaining the Warehouse and other storage areas.

-Maintaining equipment storage records.

-Operating Forklifts and other equipment used for materials as required.

-Performing preventive maintenance.

-Inspecting stocked items for wear, damage, defects, lubrication, and other abnormalities.

-Marking Stocked Items as required per plant policy.

-Operating within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).

-Performing for quality control.

-Complying with all safety policies, practices and procedures.

-Participating in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

-Performing all duties in accordance with the Vinculums Code of Safe Practices (IIPP).

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Must possess a -School Diploma or GED education.

-Some experience in Warehouse Database Programs preferred.

-Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and email.

-Ability to productively work independently and as an overall integral team member.

-Ability to handle quick changing situations under stress and to work extended hours on short notice if and when required.

-Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume

-Ability to operate forklifts and other stocking equipment.

-Have a valid driver’s license. 

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

-Experience in Telecommunications

EXPECTED WORK SCHEDULE

Work schedule is Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Occasional travel may be required.

Operating a forklift and driving a Class C motor vehicle is also a requirement of this position, and all of the physical demands therein required are applicable.

This job requires working indoors in non-climate controlled conditions. At times may require working outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions (above 90 degrees or below 32 degrees depending on the time of year). This role routinely uses office equipment such as a computer, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines and phone and mechanized equipment such as pneumatic tools, hand or power tools, lifts, other power equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to operate a motor vehicle and be required to operate a forklift. May be exposed to conditions that would require the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Working at heights. Exposure to sounds and noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable.
