Vibra Healthcare is seeking a Vice President of Health Information Management - HIM to join our team!
 
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies (TJC, CMS)  regarding Health Information Management coding and operations.  Develop, implement and monitor policies and procedures regarding patient records such that patient information requirements are met and appropriate documentation is available for both patient care and reimbursement.  Ensure effective customer service is provided to patients, clinicians  and other departments.
 
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required in Health Information Management from an accredited institution.  
Licensure/Certification: RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator required).   
At least ten years HIM leadership experience in a healthcare facility. 
Experience in multi-hospital  healthcare system at corporate level.  
Experience with health information systems (EMR, Meditech, 3M, EPIC, etc).   
 
Additional Qualifications/Skills:
Significant understanding and demonstrated knowledge of health information management programs including medical terminology, ICD-10 ICD-9 CM coding and CPT coding.
Extensive knowledge of federal, state and Joint Commission requirements.
Active participation in Revenue Cycle Operations
Ability to gather and analyze and report data and trends.
Comprehensive knowledge of confidentiality and privacy laws.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Exemplary customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are absolutely imperative.
Demonstrated positive personal influences on teams and customers including the willingness to accept change proactively.
Must be flexible and responsive to needs of organization and possess ability to balance the needs of multiple priorities.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Excellent problem solving and solution oriented skills.
Ability to project a professional image.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations.
Working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions (word processing, graphics, databases, spreadsheets, etc.)
Freedom from use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
50% or more travel required
