Vibra Healthcare is seeking a Purchasing Administrative Assistant to join our team!
Will handle daily orders for Pharmacy supplies and pharmaceuticals for assigned Vibra hospitals. Primary functions include, but are not limited to: Purchase Order generation, validation, execution, receiving and resolution, reports and general product knowledge of assigned areas. This is an entry level service position to ensure consistent, required and economical ordering, receipt and payment of Pharmacy products.
Along with facility, daily review of MedHost Rx reorder advice reports for products.
Communicate / Verify with Hospital Rx Director or assignee for data accuracy
Upon facility approval, generate PO to vendor / verify transmission receipt
Work with exception/backorder reports. coordinate with Rx @ facility to expedite alternatives if available
Input receivers from facility into system
Along with accounting, work A/P – MM PO discrepancy report for variance resolution
Work with appropriate parties to resolve invoice discrepancy report
Analyze cost savings opportunities (Pharmaceuticals, Generics, waste, etc)
Participate in inventory process
Maintain system i.e.; item master, par areas, storage areas
Purchasing experience necessary, Rx or healthcare preferred
Experience with EDI preferred
Experience with healthcare GPO contracts preferred
Strong organizational skills
Experience with database management systems
Strong verbal and written communication skills
