Marist180 (www.marist180.org.au) is a not-for-profit organisation committed to empowering people with skills, knowledge, practical support and encouragement. We strive to care for all who need support and hope, from people without a home to those seeking asylum.
Marist180 is responsible for the delivery of the Vocational Training and Employment Centre (VTEC) program in Western Sydney, funded by the Australian Government to provide Indigenous Australians with access to job specific training and sustainable employment opportunities. Marist180 is now looking to grow its VTEC team so that we can achieve even greater social impact in local communities.
VTEC Caseworkers are responsible for engaging with Indigenous job seekers, delivering job readiness support and active casework, securing vacancies from employers and transitioning a minimum of 6 job seekers into jobs each month. The VTEC program is all about sustainable jobs, so supporting clients through their first 6 months of employment is also a key element of the role.
We are looking for someone who knows how to support job seekers into jobs – some experience and evidence of your success in a similar role will be very highly regarded. You will be outgoing, driven to meet personal, team and social impact targets, and have a personality that easily gels with others. We have fostered a team environment built on innovation, fun, hard work and respect and our new team member should have an ambition to make a positive contribution to our success.
