Hawkins is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to be based at our manufacturing facility in Minneapolis, MN.  The QA Specialist will ensure product safety, quality and compliance through adherence to the Hawkins Quality Management System and work closely with production associates in support of product manufacturing and testing.



  • Document Control – Generate and review batch records, associated testing records, and other documentation to ensure that all steps have been executed correctly, verified where applicable, and that all limits and specifications have been met.
  • Product Quality Assurance -- Support the evaluation and disposition of labeling, raw materials, intermediates and finished products through timely compliance evaluation of batch records, laboratory results and other GMP documents.
  • Customer Support and Service – Respond to customer requests and questions, assist in customer audits, and participate in CAPA investigations by reviewing protocols, analytical results, and documentation.
  • Process improvement – Collaborate with Production and Technical Group to improve equipment and process issues and provide suggestions for improvements to workflow.




  • B.S. in Chemistry or science-related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in Quality systems, preferably within a regulated industry such as pharmaceutical
  • Demonstrated proficiency with quality methodology, process, and deliverables
  • Ability to communicate well with all disciplines and at all levels, both internally and externally, and to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and to take ownership and initiative, including in stressful situations
  • Sound problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
