Job Summary

In this position you will provide support to the US Onshore, Offshore Gulf of Mexico, or International regions.  When you join our team, you'll find a blend of experienced Geoscience professionals, plus new professionals like you. This combination gives Anadarko a wealth of experience, fresh ideas and the ability to make those ideas a reality.

 

You will receive on-the-job training and gain proficiency through a variety of work. In addition, you will have access to technical, business and IT training. Your assignments will focus on technical mastery, project-team skills and business understanding.

 

Qualifications

•Must be authorized to work in the United States of America.

•Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0.

•Strong Microsoft Office usage (Excel and Word) with an emphasis on Excel is required.

•Strong verbal and written communication skills; the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and with external representatives; and the ability to work as part of a team.

•Strong analytical and research skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task are also required.

 

Responsibilities

•Compiles, interprets and integrates geophysical/geological data for prospect generation or lease evaluation.

•Integrates petrophysical and geological information to investigate and increase understanding of different rock physics relationships.

•Assists in analyzing, processing, or reprocessing of seismic data.

Assists in developing visual models for assessing target real estate capacity and potential.

•Uses calibrated relationships as predictive tools for exploration, appraisal and development problems.

 

Education Requirements

Candidate must possess a Master’s or PhD program in a Geoscience field.

 

Travel Requirements

The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%.

 

Work Schedule

This position is eligible for the 5/40 or 9/80 work schedule in our corporate locations.
