Job Summary

Apply your diverse set of skills and knowledge in software, networks, and server-based technology toward the implementation and configuration of our web-based and mobile GIS applications.  Under the direction of the Cloud Infrastructure Management Lead, you help implement and maintain our set of client-server software solutions and provide technical solutions to our internal staff as well as external customers.  The candidate must be comfortable explaining technical concepts, security policies, and step-by-step procedures to a mix of technical and non-technical staff, as well as the occasional client or business partner/vendor.  In addition to having the required set of skills, a strong, security-driven and detail-oriented mindset is needed in every aspect of the position’s responsibilities and is essential for success. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides technical solutions to internal/external customers to help troubleshoot issues with web-based and mobile device software

  • Deploys web-based software solutions remotely for customers, adjusting when necessary to meet the needs of differing network environments

  • Assists in researching and testing new products, product enhancements, and product updates

  • Manages client software configurations to ensure quality, consistency so that project deliverables are met

  • Provides ongoing support and maintenance for web-based and mobile products

  • Provides technical documentation of product functions and processes for customers and/or internal teams

  • Helps to setup and maintain resources used for product testing and project implementation


  • B.S. in Information Science, Information Systems, or other related technical field from an accredited program

  • 1-3 years’ practical experience in a related position

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset

  • Knowledge and understanding of client-server software applications and their underlying technologies and interdependencies

  • Experience with relational databases, database management, scripting, connectivity and SQL syntax

  • Familiarity with web-based software and website administration (IIS)

  • Proficient understanding of Windows Server operating systems

  • Knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP computer networks

  • Experience with managing software on iOS and Android devices a plus

  • Experience with ESRI GIS software, GPS devices and/or mapping a plus

  • Initial and recurring criminal background checks (which may include fingerprinting) may be required as a condition of hire and continued employment.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen in order to obtain government clearance.

  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
