S3, Inc. is currently seeking a UH-60 A/L Maintenance Test Pilot to work offsite in Yuma, AZ.

Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following): Site Manager for an Aviation Support Services program that provides augmentation to the operation, maintenance and servicing of any and all assigned Government aircraft including four UH-60 helicopters and three fixed wing aircraft.  Responsible for the management, administration and operational support services, including Aviation Maintenance, Aircraft Servicing, Airfield Services, and Ground/Flight Operations to support customer requirements at multiple locations throughout the United States.

Also performs duties as the site UH60 Maintenance Test Pilot - Conducts Maintenance Test Flights on UH60 A/L Blackhawk helicopters. Perform aircraft recoveries, maintenance operational checks, aircraft transfer and other operational missions at the direction of the Commander. Advises the commander on all UH60 A/L maintenance procedures and tasks ensuring the safety is never compromised in the performance of the mission. Advises on the establishment of maintenance priorities, aircraft flow distribution, and assist Maintenance Test Pilot support teams for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Contractor will conduct Maintenance Test Flights on UH60 A/L helicopters in direct support of the site aircraft maintenance effort. Provide maintenance test flight support for a fleet of UH60A aircraft. All maintenance test flights will be conducted in accordance with Army Regulations and Technical Manuals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Five or more years’ experience managing Field Level Aviation Maintenance Operations with 30 or more personnel supporting ten or more aircraft
  • Minimum IAW with DCMA INST 8210-1C required to be qualified in mission, type, design, and if appropriate, series of aircraft and have no less than 1,000 hours pilot-in-command time with 300 hours in similar type aircraft for which duties will be performed.
  • Must be a graduate of the Army UH-60A/L Maintenance Test Pilot Course or complete an equivalency evaluation conducted by the Directorate of Evaluation and Standardization (DES), U.S. Army Aviation Warfighting Center, Ft. Rucker, AL 36362-5000.
  • FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
  • FAA Second Class flight physical required. Army Contractor pilots have the option of maintaining either an annual FAA Second Class Medical Certificate or an Army Class 2 FDME.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and supervising US Army Aviation maintenance programs. 
  • Supervised flight and aviation maintenance operations
  • Five (5) or more years’ experience planning, performing and supervising Field and Sustainment aviation maintenance operations for fixed and/or rotary wing aircraft
  • U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE) or AATS UH60 A/L qualified Maintenance Test Pilot
  • Experience as Maintenance Test Pilot in a MTOE unit, TDA unit or at the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE)
  • Possess an FAA Second Class Medical Certificate or DA Form 4186 (FDME)
  • Secret Clearance
