Provides on-site support to the Office of the US Army Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) G-8, Force Development Directorate, Aviation Division as a  System Synchronization Officer for Aviation Munitions, HQDA G-8 Aviation Division.  Evaluates Army requirements for aviation munitions and establish resourcing systems to provide aviation munitions to Army units and activities.  Plan and program funding to support HQDA Program Objective Memoradum (POM) programs of record to fund and source aviation armaments.  Coordinate with other parts of the Army and OSD staff to support execution and sustainment of Army acquisition programs. Prepares, coordinates and revises the rocket and missile modernization strategies and plans for inclusion in the Army’s annual Modernization Strategy and Plan that informs the Army, DoD and industry stakeholders on adjustments from changing requirements, funding and senior leader guidance.  Revises and coordinates the investment strategies and decision points for the rocket and missile capability within the Aviation Portfolio Long-range Investment and Requirements Analysis (LIRA) strategy to provide senior leaders insight into decisions beyond the POM.  Coordinates with PM and HQDA G3 Aviation staffs on rocket and missle allocations and distributions to resource units to complete assigned missions.  Utilizes analytical tools and information systems such as Army Equipping Enterprise System (AE2S), Force Development Investment Information System (FDIIS), EquipFor, FMSWeb, and SSN-LIN Automated Management & Integration System (SLAMIS) to document funding, allocations, and distributions.  Reviews and analyzes Operational Needs Statements (ONSs) and Urgent Needs Statement (UNS) to determine programmatic impacts and provides a recommended course of action (COA); briefs the analysis as recommendations are required.  Monitors Aviation requirements and capability developments by attending and providing leader approved inputs at meetings and decision briefings; provides comments and recommendations to aviation Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) documents.  Attends all necessary meetings to address the critical system-related issues, prepares meeting minutes, EXSUMs, and  information papers for use by leadership to aid in decision making processes.

Force Development Aviation Division (FDV) - Army Aviation SSO (Key Personnel)- The FDV SSO shall perform tasks to support Army Aviation programs. In order to successfully perform the functions within FDV the SSO need to have operational experience in Army aviation units from company to brigade level and must be familiar with the types of equipment used in aviation units.
