Description

  1. BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:  The Pricing Analyst II position in contracts and pricing.  The Pricing Analyst II supports the technical team in developing cost proposals and supporting information for submission to the Government or prime contractors.

     

  2. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  3. Develops Excel spreadsheets to develop cost estimates in a form and format as required by a solicitation.

  4. Analyzes the solicitation to determine cost submittal requirements (with assistance).

  5. Develops costs for direct labor, travel, subcontractor, consultant, and other direct costs.

  6. Ensures costs are burdened according to company accounting & finance guidelines.

  7. Advises the technical team of issues required to respond to the solicitation’s cost requirements (with assistance).

  8. Develops cost narratives in MS Word as required to clearly explain proposed costs.

  9. Ensures proposals are responsive and timely.

  10. Works with other proposal team members to coordinate submittal requirements.

  11. Prepares Representations & Certifications of Offeror.

  12. Performs research as required to support bid position (with assistance).

  13. Prepares “Sealed Package” proposals for Government evaluation.

  14. Supports audit by prime and Federal Government.

  15. Must be able to work nights and/or weekends in order to support S3's ability to meet proposal submission deadlines.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor Degree in Business Related Field (with preference for degrees or concentrations in finance, accounting, contracting)
REQUIRED SKILLS: Good interpersonal skills, skilled in the use of MS Excel (i.e, worksheet development, pivot tables, graphs, financial formulas), MS PowerPoint, and MS Word. Able to use MS Excel to effectively to support analysis.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 2 to 3 years of previous experience. Previous experience in developing cost proposals for service contracts with the Department of Defense strongly preferred. Knowledge of Government contract types strongly preferred.
