The Training Instructor/Support Technician serves as an Observer/Controller (O/C) in support of the 302nd Sqdn, Joint Netherlands Training Detachment (JNTD) as part of the Foreign Military Training (FMT) program. O/Cs are an important resource for the control of training and evaluation of mission exercises of foreign military ground forces and work closely with Dutch Observer Trainers. These ground forces are then combined with their military air assets to achieve an integrated and trained attack and transport helicopter combined force.

The supervisor sets the overall objectives and resources available. The Training Instructor and the supervisor, in consultation, develop the deadlines, projects, and work to be done. The Training Instructor is responsible for planning and carrying out the assignment, resolving most of the conflicts that arise, coordinating the work with others as necessary, and interpreting policy on own initiative in terms of established objectives. Completed work is reviewed only from an overall standpoint in terms of feasibility, compatibility with other work, or 

effectiveness in meeting requirements or expected results.

This position functions primarily as an instructor while assisting in course development responsibilities. The position is assigned particular blocks of instruction within a longer course. Position is established to develop and teach programs of instruction on weapons, field communications, land navigation, call for fire, NBC, convoy operations, convoy defense, and live fire. Position is also responsible for exercise planning, execution, and clearing of field sites to English speaking students.

Bachelor’s Degree required or 8 years of relative specialty experience in lieu of
Position requires thorough familiarity with the assigned subject matter area and use of a wide range of teaching methods depending on the students' learning requirements.
OIF/OEF experience desired.
Experience in Army maneuver systems desired.
Mission Order Production.
Plan and execute resource management objectives, through the use of resource management planning tools and web-based programs.
Ability to work extensively with Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to attain a Secret Clearance.
