Advertising Manager

Position Summary

The Advertising Manager is responsible for partnering with all internal Pokémon product teams to develop global advertising programs that support priority business objectives.  The Advertising Manager will assess the product needs, provide direction to external agencies, develop and gain approval for the appropriate advertising support, execute the program, and then assess the results in order to evolve future programs for the company.

What You Will Do

  • Drive the development and execution of media plans across all media channels including TV, Cinema, Out-Of-Home (OOH), Digital, Mobile, Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Social Media, and over-the-top/Connected TV.

  • Oversee the implementation, optimization and performance of media campaigns and give strategic feedback on the campaigns to internal and external teams.

  • Work with media agency to analyze the effectiveness of media campaigns to better optimize spend and performance, draw insights and make data-driven decisions that support marketing goals.

  • Provide updates on various media topics, stay on top of cultural moments, social media and tech trends – offering a strategic level of thinking in daily meetings with key stakeholders.

  • Maintain relationships with key media vendor partners: Apple, Google, Facebook, and Twitter.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with agency partners and cross-functional teams, including PR, Planning, Online Marketing (earned and owned channels), Retail Marketing, Product, Legal and Finance and international counterparts.

What You Will Bring

  • 6+ years media planning/buying experience at a major entertainment brand or media/advertising agency. U.S. territory experience is required.

  • Media planning/buying experience for mobile gaming apps and/or e-commerce is preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to project manage complex integrated campaigns, driving the projects from concept to analysis.

  • Ability to draw actionable insights from campaign data, media attribution tools, and market research data.

  • Understanding of the landscape and new developments in new media, tech, and the kids/gaming/entertainment industry.

  • BA or BS or equivalent working experience.

What to Expect

We offer a professional, fun and creative work environment. While we maintain a good balance between work and life, additional hours may be required at peak times or for specific initiatives. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally 5% of the year.
