Assistant Human Resources Manager

Location: NC - Sanford
Department: 9000 - Human Resources

Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for recruiting process, to include sourcing, scheduling, pre-screen, interviewing, and background requirements
  • Responsible for annual AAP requirements
  • Assist with administration of benefit programs to include 401K, Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, and Life
  • Build relationships with the managers to include coaching, recommendations to resolve employee relation issues, appropriate counseling levels, pay range recommendations, performance related issues, etc…
  • Assist with benefits renewal
  • Provide data and participate in benchmark surveys
  • Participate in compliance audits and testing
  • File all compliance reports to include 5500, Vet 4212, EEO-1, AAP, ACA filing, and CMS disclosure
  • Assist with payroll and ADP systems, to include overtime tracking and reporting
  • Assist with the FMLA and STD administration process
  • Source training and developmental opportunities for employees at multiple levels
  • Creation and administration of performance management system for the organization  
  • Interpreting and maintaining employee handbook, policies, and past practices
  • Identify legal requirements affecting Human Resources, policies, procedures, and compliance
  • Assist with employee events and recognition program
  • Assist with on boarding for all new employees
  • Update and maintain job descriptions and pay grades
  • Assist with management of random drug testing program
  • Provide internal/external customer support as needed
  • Presentations to Company employees at varying levels
  • Arbitrate concerns and difficult interactions between employees
  • Other duties as assigned by manager


Skills, Experience, and/or Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of five years related experience, preferably in a management role, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • HR certification preferred
  • Superior customer service and phone skills
  • Familiar with federal contractor requirements
  • Knowledgeable and up to date experience with changing labor laws
  • Familiarity with ATS software or resume database
  • Proven record of strong recruiting skills
  • Ability to multi-task, good organization skills, and detail-oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Excellent computer skills to include MS Office suite
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and display professionalism at all times
  • Regular office attendance required
