Description

JOB SUMMARY:       Will be responsible for providing direction/supervision for all digital ad sales related activities.  Will work directly with sales management team and executives to ensure meeting digital sales objectives and budgets.

 

Specific responsibilities assigned to this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as an industry expert to assist sales management and account executives in educating decision makers by keeping up with the latest digital trends.
  • Achieve division digital revenue goals on a consistent basis through leadership of local management teams.
  • Sell OnMedia digital products and programs to new and existing customers and through own direct relationships and deal-making with clients and agencies.
  • Provide guidance and support to develop digital sales skill sets by coaching and demonstration.
  • Work in a hands-on role, to plan, prepare, and participate in high impact training and client-direct sales at the division and local level.
  • Observe sales calls, coach sales managers and account executives to optimize results and provide assistance and make recommendations to correct deficiencies relating to digital sales.
  • Collaborate closely with senior management and vendors to develop new digital solutions, packages, strategic plans, sales collateral, and out-reach materials.
  • Extract data from sales/traffic/CRM systems, build reports around that data and review with sales management.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.
  • Requires regular attendance to report to work per assigned work schedule.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:   

  • Must have a strong working knowledge of the digital marketing and advertising landscape, including digital display, social media, SEM/SEO and other emerging technologies. 
  • Minimum two years of successful digital advertising, business-to-business outside sales experience, with prior supervisory or management background.
  • Knowledge of digital media business and underlying technology and industry trends.
  • Ability to make strategic recommendations to maximize digital revenue and effectively manage product and pricing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Sales & Marketing or related discipline.
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task in an extremely fast paced environment.
  • Candidate must possess excellent communication skills (both oral and written) to interact with clients and vendors on a daily basis.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial drive and creative thinking.
  • Willing and able to travel as necessary, a minimum of 25%.
