HUAWEI Mobile Canada (Consumer Business Group (CBG)) is searching for a new teammate to refine and manage the organization’s multi-facetted Social Media strategy as a means of cultivating Brand advocacy in both new and existing HUAWEI product users.

Are you highly fluent in the social media space? Someone who understands how consumers like to (and should be) engaged on social platforms? Our ideal candidate is quick on their feet, data-driven, creative and excels at identifying and fostering relationships.

Beyond being the eyes, ears and voice on behalf of HUAWEI Mobile Canada, you will also be tasked with championing a refined dynamic with our Social Care team and digital agency to ensure that ALL interactions (be it, current or prospective customers) receive the attention they deserve.



  • Live and breathe the Social space by managing day-to-day communications on all endorsed channels
  • Track & report daily share of social mentions and distill key insights
  • Working alongside the Marketing team to develop and manage an editorial calendar for short and long-term efforts, ensuring proactive publication of content appropriate for channels in support of Brand objectives
  • Work with our internal and external partners to create content that will engage our audiences and fuel loyalty
  • Proactive engagement with influencers and Brand enthusiasts
  • Manage all related listening, insights and reporting tied to the Brand within the social space
  • Organic measurement tracking & optimization
  • Flag potential Brand risk concerns and escalate to appropriate teams



  • An undergraduate degree in communications/ public relations/ business or college equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years working in a related role in either an agency or client setting
  • Excellent communications skills in English (French is bonus)
  • Ability to understand Brand voice and adapt tone of communications and copy accordingly
  • Strong knowledge of social behavior/ interaction – how to engage within Social channels to achieve the best results in terms of building a positive image on behalf of the Brand
  • Ability to unearth related local news/ info/ engagement opportunities from all corners of the Internet
  • Must have strong technical knowledge of social media marketing, including consumer trends, platform capabilities and metrics/analytics
  • Experience identifying, working with and cultivating relationships with Brand influencers/ advocates

  • Humble yet confident, able to put the growth of the company/team/Brand first
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
