Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Support the Merchant Marketing Manager in preparing all divisional vendor marketing briefs for program activations
  • Support Merchant Marketing Manager on larger, more complex marketing programs as required
  • Accurately record and communicate all sales, assists with ROI and post mortem details, archiving seasonal activities and results for merchant marketing reference
  • Support Manager with monthly budget meeting preparation
  • Plays an active support role for Manager in planning seasonal vendor marketing plans, ensuring vendors have the seasonal rate card, understand holts programs and can lead and pitch programs where appropriate developing and enhancing the vendor relationship
  • Work in partnership with the Manager, Merchant Marketing to coordinate and support all Merchant Marketing programs and initiatives as well as working cross functionally with the required internal teams per project or marketing vehicle type
  • Facilitate communication with store and merchant buyers on deliveries associated with their direct mailers, special offers, business selling activities or events including any samples, bounce back offer collateral, Gift with Purchase items, Purchase with Purchase items, promotional items, etc. ensuring on-time delivery to store
  • Coordinate approval process and execution of all approved Merchant Marketing initiatives between internal marketing team, stores, buying team and vendors
  • Assist in the development of critical paths and the roll out of all related projects and programs
  • Coordinate and update project/event/initiative implementations including budgets, critical paths, monitoring of progress, development of launch materials, communication, and various marketing store/sales planning calendars and quantification sheets on a weekly on-going basis
  • Prepare, issue, track, and collect all vendor marketing co-op agreement contracts & invoices issued, updating marketing divisional budget on a regular basis to ensuring accuracy
  • Update and maintain manual and automated information in all related databases
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for the improvement of processes and  performance
  • Participate in the updating and distribution of Merchant Marketing internal program materials and policies
  • Complies with all Health & Safety policies and requirements
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

The ideal candidate:

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field
  • 1-2 years of post-university work experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills with the ability to get things done 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; a team player who is able to act as both a leader and an individual contributor as required
  • Confident and effective communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Is adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity and change 
  • Highly service-oriented with exceptional organizational and follow up skills
  • Passionate about fashion and luxury retailing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
