Reporting to the SVP, The Divisional Vice-President (DVP) Digital Commerce is responsible for conceptualizing the future in luxury retail at Holtrenfrew.com. This highly impactful role is responsible for building new revenue generating plans that will create a best in class luxury customer experience and maximize ROI with the right innovation through technology, merchandising, marketing and operations. The DVP also owns and manages the strategy for our Digital Commerce platform and clienteling application.  The DVP is innovative, strategic, an excellent communicator, and thrives in a cross functional role that will deliver on their vision. 

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Lead, mentor and inspire a team of Omni-Channel Customer Experience and operations professionals
  • Identify and prioritize Digital Commerce initiatives that will improve the customer experience, maximize site sales & conversion, and increase customer satisfaction
  • Define strategies to grow market share and lead the way in luxury
  • Develop future strategies for our upcoming app that is user friendly and will increase associate sales and offer better engagement to our customers 
  • Leverage analytics, customer touch points, sales and the overall industry to continuously improve the customer journey and ensure customer expectations are exceeded
  • Plan and implement personalization and site optimization initiatives
  • Lead continuous innovation: Identify new opportunities, launch new features and functionality to grow engagement and sales and differentiates Holt Renfrew from its competitors to achieve financial and business objectives
  • Drive operating efficiencies within the Ecommerce space
  • Develop our people to motive, inspire, and grow our talent
  • Clearly communicate the Digital business results to cross-functional partners and Senior Management, showing the meaning behind the analytics and industry trends
  • Partner and grow relationships across the organization including the executive team, internal and external stakeholders, across marketing, IT, finance and the retail stores.  

The ideal candidate:

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of post-university work experience, including a minimum of 5+ years leading a business unit or enterprise-wide strategy  
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience with proven ability to lead a team, help grow their careers and focus toward company objectives
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret extensive data to develop/implement consumer brand appropriate solutions
  • Strong project management skills, including development of timelines, communication of project status, and ability to move projects from concept strategy development through tactical implementation/execution
  • Is adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity and change 
  • Passionate about fashion and luxury retailing
