Provides leadership and direction for the System Services department. Manages department staff by providing oversight, clear work direction and assignments. Develops and implements transmission service and interconnection (both generation and transmission) policies and procedures. Ensures that all policies/procedures are accurate, thoroughly documented and consistently applied. Resolves tariff related issues raised by staff, Member Systems, and/or customer(s). Represents the Corporation’s interests in developing and administering agreements and contracts related to the GTC Tariff. Represents the Corporation’s interests on various industry organizations' committees and working groups. Supports Executive Management on transmission policy issues. Develops and maintains a highly qualified and motivated workforce and promotes an environment of compliance and continuous improvement to meet the Corporation’s goals and objectives.
Education: Bachelor Degree, Engineering preferred. (MBA or JD desirable).
Experience: Ten (10) years, (eight (8) years with a professional engineering license) of progressively increasing experience in electric utility environment in the areas of contract management/tariff administration, system operations, system planning, engineering, construction and/or maintenance with at least five (5) years' experience in personnel management.
Equivalent Experience: Fifteen (15) years of progressively increasing experience in electric utility environment in the areas of contract management/tariff administration, system operations, system planning, engineering, construction and/or maintenance with at least five (5) years' experience in personnel management.
Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Professional Engineer (PE) desirable.
Specialized Skills (e.g., typing, computers, software, tools and equipment uses, etc.): Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, presentation and negotiation skills. Must possess excellent organization and time management skills, technical/analytical and creative problem solving skills, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Must have good computer knowledge and competent with financial analysis.
