Position:         Project Control Specialist

Location:        Burlington, MA

Clearance:     Ability to obtain a clearance

Education:     Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities:

The Project Control Specialist will assist the Division Director in running the division. The individual will provide project management support such as briefing preparation, action item tracking, project coordination, and other tasks as required. They will serve as the “eyes and ears” for the Division Director, identifying trends, issues, and concerns, and making recommendations to the Division Director. This position requires financial management experience, preferably in Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security acquisitions and contracts.  Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support the tracking and reporting of financial information on Government projects. Update financial information and projected expenditure rates. Provide financial information to contractor and Government personnel as required. Prepare and submit monthly financial reports for projects.
  • Support financial management and administrative activities, such as budgeting, manpower and resource planning, and financial analysis and reporting.
  • Assist with tracking and forecasting labor, travel, and other direct costs.
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of employee timesheets and expense reports.
  • Assist with invoicing as requested by the Division Director and Gemini Controller.
  • Monitor due dates and track preparation of all deliverables, follow-up with the Program Managers and/or Task Leads to ensure timely submission of all deliverables.
  • Collect inputs from project teams and generate monthly status reports.
  • Assist the Division Director with administration of performance appraisals, awards program, and other administrative actions.
  • Communicate with customers and team members as directed by the Division Director to provide and collect information, schedule meetings, identify issues and engage in issue resolution.
  • Update spreadsheets and accounting system databases based upon contract modifications received from customers. This includes labor categories, billing rates, funding levels, and labor hour ceilings.

 

Qualifications:

The candidate must have the following qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience with project planning budgeting.
  • Ability to work on critical taskings independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Good problem-solving skills and initiative.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office.

 

Travel: Some travel may be required
