Description

Position Summary

The intern will assist with logistical, research and administrative support for the Strategy, Design and Learning (SDL) team. They will have the opportunity to gain experience in proposal management, human rights programs, and new business development. Preferred candidates will have an interest in database and organizational knowledge management. 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Intern must be enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrate a strong proficiency with MS Office Suite, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to communicate and work with various departments and employee levels
  • Ability to multitask and manage assignments independently
  • Interest in human rights, democracy, global politics and/or other international development concepts
  • Experience with databases and advanced Excel skills are an asset

 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Support the program strategy team with writing and editing documents
  • Assist with administrative and logistical support
  • Assist with database maintenance, data cleaning, and using data to generate reports
  • Assist with background research needed for proposals and program activities
