Description

The Blackstone Technology Group is looking for a Business Analyst with Learning Management System (LMS) experience to join our Federal Practice in the DC area.

As a member of a high-performing team, this role requires you to interface with customers, rapidly learn, and produce high-quality deliverables. You will manage various relationships, including customers, vendors, engineers, developers and management, to develop requirements, define test scenarios, create process flows, develop plans and strategy (e.g. governance), formulate operations models and procedures, write design documents, work through issues and facilitate solution development.

Responsibilities:

  • Support a Federal IT Project Manager in managing the implementation of a commercial LMS system across a large federal agency
  • Ability to assist in creating high-level briefings for management, as well as executive stakeholders
  • Have a basic understating of the SELC (Systems Development Life Cycle/ Systems Engineering Life Cycle)
  • Develop documentation in support of implementation, security, and future operations & maintenance activities
  • Understand business requirements so that they may be accurately translated into system requirements
  • Create fully testable requirements
  • Understand the design of moderately complex information systems so that functional issues may be understood, and business requirements can be properly defined for software development
  • Help to define how information systems may be upgraded or replaced
  • Conduct trade-off analyses on business and technical requirements
  • Quickly develop a working understanding of the applicable programming languages, operating systems and databases that will be used on the projects and programs
  • Develop procedures, manuals and other documentation for information systems

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience with implementing a Learning Management System (LMS) from a business process perspective
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent 
  • Must successfully complete a stringent Background Investigation and obtain the required Government Security
  • 2+ of related experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) 2.0
