POSITION DESCRIPTION

Architecture49 is currently seeking an Architectural Technician to join our Buildings - Architecture group, located at our Thunder Bay, ON office. Reporting to the Manager – Architecture, this position will be responsible for carrying out production duties for the Architectural Team in Thunder Bay.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare AutoCAD / REVIT drawings

  • Maintain familiarity with current techniques and developments

  • Perform drafting tasks as requested by clients or managers

  • Preparation and review of drawings

  • Prepare construction-related drawings, specifications and reports for new construction and rehabilitation projects

  • Participate in design meetings with owners, developers, and other consultants.

  • Make contributions to company knowledge management and practice systems

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years of experience as an Architectural Technician

  • Experience performing architectural CAD work

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight, take full responsibility for quality and efficiency of CAD work

  • Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD is required 

  • Experience with REVIT would be considered a valuable and important asset

  • Ability to work on several projects at a time with multiple design teams 

  • Excellent technical, interpersonal and teamwork skills
