WSP is currently seeking a Student to join our Advisory Services – Transportation group, located at our Yonge Street office. Reporting to the Principal Consultant, Advisory Services this role will be responsible for working on national and international engagements for public and private sector clients that own, operate and invest in infrastructure assets.  Engagements include but are limited to, strategic project development, asset management, policy development and support, economic analysis and real estate finance.


  • Participate in day-to-day project activities;
  • Assist in proposal preparation;
  • Coordinate with project team members;
  • Assist with preparation of technical reports and papers;
  • Provide support to the department with developing project work programs/budgets and schedules in response to clients’ needs; and
  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Working towards a Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Mechanical Engineering or Urban Planning;
  • Excellent academic record;
  • Sound understanding of business processes and kaizen or six sigma business approaches;
  • Strong interest in public transit and alternative propulsion technology;
  • MS Office and computer skills (knowledge of MS Project would be considered an asset);
  • Great communication skills, both verbally and written;
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills;
  • Demonstrated research skills and experience; and
  • Shown leadership skills by participating in extra-curricular events and volunteer work
