WSP is currently seeking An Electrical Engineering Summer Student to join our Buildings department, located at our Calgary, AB office.  Reporting to the Team Lead this position will be eligible for a May through August term.


  • Assist in the review of electrical designs and drawings
  • Assist in providing technical advice to clients and project teams (consultants and contractors)
  • Learn to prepare client proposals, and construction documents
  • Assist in the evaluation of contractor performance to ensure project deliverables and quality standards are achieved
  • Make contributions to company knowledge management and practice systems
  • Learn and excel through daily project work
  • Other duties as assigned/required.



  • 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year student working towards a Bachelor;s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Desire to work toward P.Eng designation
  • Ability to quickly identify and understand project issues and opportunities
  • A team player who thrives on working with other successful, energetic people
  • Excellent communicator, with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Good initiative and attention to detail
