WSP is currently seeking a Designer (EIT) to join our Land Development team, located at our Thornhill office.  Reporting to the department manager this position will be responsible for the design of infrastructure for land development projects such as new communities, as well as industrial, commercial and institutional sites.



  • Prepare preliminary and detailed engineering plans;
  • Perform calculations and technical assessments;
  • Prepare reports and other project related documentation;
  • Assist with preparing presentation materials and proposals;
  • Assist to review site conditions for design or occasionally during construction activity;
  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Undergraduate Degree in a Civil Engineering program from an accredited university;
  • Eligible for professional licensing with PEO is an asset;
  • 0-3 yrs. of industry related experience; 
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft products is required;
  • Experience with Microstation, InRoads and Civil 3D is an asset;
  • Knowledge of municipal design standards and specifications is an asset;
  • Excellent technical, analytical writing and presentation skills;
  • Great communication skills, both verbally and written;
  • Desire to take on new challenges;
  • A valid Driver’s license is an asset.
