POSITION DESCRIPTION

WSP  is currently looking for a Web Content Co-ordinator to join the Marketing Team. The Webmaster will serve a key role in assisting the marketing team’s efforts to migrate website content onto our new Sitecore CMS platform. The Web Content Co-ordinator must be able to work within the constraints of the Sitecore content management system, have an eye for detail, and work within tight timelines to ensure delivery dates are met. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills and self-motivation, as well as an understanding of best practices for the web. Knowledge of Sitecore CMS is considered an asset. This on-site contract position will be located in our downtown Calgary office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Web content migration
  • Create, modify, and implement new pages, templates and widgets within the Sitecore platform
  • Transpose content from documentation into Sitecore web pages
  • Upload images, videos, PDFs, rich media, etc.
  • Effectively engage and communicate with the marketing team, Global web team and other key stakeholders
  • Support sector and service-specific content implementation, and provide feedback on the quality of content in alignment with best practices
  • Partner with key members of the communications, marketing and creative teams to ensure content migration is achieved in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ensure SEO and accessibility best practices are upheld
  • Project manage website content migration
  • Report on progress with the marketing team, and the Global web team
  • Other duties as assigned/required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Formal education related to the field of web design or development, 2+ years of experience working on web properties in a corporate setting
  • Past experience working within content management systems. Sitecore experience considered an asset
  • Fundamental grasp of HTML / CSS. Knowledge of Javascript considered an asset.
  • Advanced computer skills - word processing, excel and digital publishing (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness to work in a collaborative setting, as part of a team, or independently
  • Creative problem solver, strategic thinker, self-motivated, organized and possess leadership qualities
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Ability to lead projects from inception to completion
