Job Title:  Research Associate (Temp)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our research department. The researcher must be able to carry out experiments with supervision. Highly-developed team interaction skills and ability to work under aggressive timelines are important. The candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Attention to detail is crucial. Prior experience with next generation sequencing technology is highly desirable.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute and trouble shoot experiments
  • Analyze and coherently report results
  • Well document all experimental stages
  • Work and communicate results with different teams
  • Perform other work related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry or related field with 0-2 years of experience. 
  • Familiar with standard molecular biology techniques, including PCR, cloning, nucleic acid purification and quantitation.  
  • Excellent communication, organization, planning, record keeping and data analysis skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Next Generation Sequencing
  • Bioinformatics knowledge such as analyzing large datasets
