Digital Manager, Public Affairs and Crisis Practice

 

Burson-Marteller’s Public Affairs and Crisis practice is looking to hire a Digital Manager to work on a wide range of clients in verticals spanning technology, energy, financial and international. This role will work across the practice and function as a subject matter expert on digital engagement both paid and earned.  The ideal candidate will have a background in public affairs and public relations campaigns that build issue awareness, influencer support and calls to action on behalf of our clients and their objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Developing and cultivating relationships with clients and external audiences.

  • Recommending and implementing digital initiatives across the entire online ecosystem that will improve the public’s perception of the client and their objectives.

  • Partnering with clients to develop and complete communications plans.

  • Helping to guide communications strategy and outreach efforts via social media, paid (display, video, etc.), email, text and blogs.

  • Developing original research and case studies to identify insights.

  • Ability to multi-task and manage projects with many stakeholders.

  • Stay on top of trends in the digital and online space such as programmatic advertising and audience targeting.

     

     

    Required

  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of previous public affairs/relations work experience with an emphasis on digital platforms.

  • Experience with both paid and owned digital platforms and tools.

  • Seasoned writing skills; ability to craft content for multiple target audiences.

  • Ability to supervise and motivate account staff, and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations and produce program outlines for creative brainstorms.

  • Strong strategic-thinking skills, and the ability to handle and manage stressful situations.

  • Strong project-management skills.

  • Familiarity with the newest media outlets.

  • Bachelor's degree.
