PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Regional Vice President of Marketing is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of marketing initiatives across their designated region.  The RVPM will facilitate the rollout of all corporate marketing programs and directives with a core focus on driving growth and profitability of our centers, partners and retailers. The RVPM acts as the fundamental link between our corporate creative brand management, finance, digital, and operational teams and the individual centers.  The position requires the ability to think creatively and execute strategically while managing a diverse team of district marketing professionals.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Assist in the development and approval of the local marketing plan and build the regional marketing plan. Work with regional directors and marketing directors to build understanding of the corporate and regional strategies and objectives in the areas of grassroots marketing, platform programs & signature events, social media, email marketing, shopper database, and public relations
  • Build budgetary support for regional strategies through allocating local marketing budget dollars
  • Develop/manage programs for regional and national goal achievement
  • Identify, analyze and evaluate mall research opportunities
  • Develop/implement processes to communicate field implementation guidelines, expectations and requirements for corporate programming
  • Identify, analyze and evaluate opportunities to capture non-traditional mall marketing revenue
  • Oversee the development of the annual property marketing budgets
  • Monitor gift card accounting procedures at the property level
  • Facilitate communication, training, and other resources to field to ensure flawless implementation of corporate partner programs, platforms and sponsorships
  • Serve as a liaison to property management, leasing, development, partners, retailers and short-term leasing regarding marketing strategies
  • Communicate with Regional Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer to keep them continuously informed of strategies’, changes, issues and questions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA or BS degree with emphasis in marketing or business
  • 6-10 years previous experience in management of shopping center marketing or related marketing field
  • Budget development/management experience
  • Substantial experience in comprehensive strategic planning
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to use tact and diplomacy and to be persuasive when interacting with others
  • Ability to respond effectively under pressure
  • Working knowledge of computer software applications
  • High level of energy, efficiency and flexibility
  •  Strong organization and coordination skills
  • Overnight travel required
