Blue Canopy, LLC is looking for a Director of Business Development – DoD/Intel to support our Cyber Security Business Unit based in our Corporate Office in Reston, VA

Blue Canopy’s Cyber Security Business Unit is seeking a seasoned Director of Business Development. The Director of Business Development is responsible for creating and evolving the business unit’s business development strategy. The successful candidate will develop organizational growth initiatives, new customer relationships, and will close on new lines of business in the fast growing, highly competitive federal and commercial cyber security marketplace. The Director will develop, coordinate and implement marketing plans designed to maintain and increase existing business and capture new opportunities, develop strong customer relationships, identify customer needs and available solutions, select opportunities to pursue, lead and write proposals, develop new business, expand existing business, and work with other business unit leads and staff to coordinate account startup and transition service or product delivery.

  • Meet personal and business unit financial goals

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in a relevant field
  • 15+ years experience in sales, business development, and strategic capture in the information technology and cyber security marketplace
  • Deep client relationships within the DoD/Intel market,  with proven experience leading and winning contracts in the DoD/Intel Account marketplace with knowledge of respective acquisition / procurement policies and regulations, with agencies included DIA, NSA, NRO, NGA, CIA, DHS, and DoD.
  • Experience working with executive management to align business development strategies and solutions with company goals
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Proven track record of increasing revenue and customer base
  • Top Secret clearance desired
