Title: Junior Acquisition Specialist
Location: Washington, DC
Clearance required: TS/SCI with Polygraph


We are currently seeking aJunior Acquisition Specialist to provide contract administration support services to one of our clients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting program offices in the development of requirements which include developing and reviewing acquisition strategies, plans, documentation, statements of objectives/statement of work, cost estimates, source selection plans, and business cases that support acquisition decisions;
  • Providing acquisition support for systems and services including information technology, financial, communications and other mission critical programs;
  • Utilizing automated systems for tracking and monitoring acquisition status, funding, implementation, and closeout;
  • Performing proposal evaluation support which includes providing cost and price analysis support, developing negotiation strategies, and providing advice to the client in the areas of acquisition and procurement;
  • Assisting with monitoring contractor performance, resolving problems, assuring adherence to milestone/deliverable schedules;
  • Negotiating changes, both technical and administrative, to contracts; and
  • Processing claims, and resolving contractual issues.


  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in the Federal acquisition arena.
  • Knowledge of performance-based contracting concepts, strategies, and governing rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Federal acquisition laws and regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), and agency specific regulations.
  • Well developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Superior interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact in a professional manner with senior level government managers.
  • Ability to provide guidance on regulatory, policy and related acquisition concepts.
  • Ability to provide clients with practical advice that supports their acquisition strategy.
  • DAWIA certifications are a plus
  • or FAC C certifications are a plus
