Description

PEAK6 Investments is currently seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter dedicated to finding and hiring top technical talent needed to grow our core tech teams.  PEAK6 Technology is the core technical team which builds and supports the core trading technology across all of PEAK6 Investments.  Its best in breed culture is a place where technologists are challenged with critical path problems that need to be solved real time.

In this role, you will drive the sourcing strategy, identify, recommend and implement process improvements and manage the candidate experience. You must be able to manage, prioritize and close extremely difficult technical searches against aggressive timelines.  The successful candidate will thrive in a fast paced environment, be exceptional at candidate generation, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and be highly organized.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

  • Manage full lifecycle recruiting for hard to fill technical roles. Must identify, attract and evaluate top technical talent in a highly competitive market
  • Utilize excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage and leverage relationships across technical teams to meet hiring targets across a dynamic, ever-changing business
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to execute and build effective sourcing, assessment, and close approaches for hard-to-fill searches
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to set and manage expectations/competing demands in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong ability to technically screen candidates for: technical acumen, fit with technical environment and cultural fit with PEAK6 Technology
  • Produce and deliver effective, creative, strategic research and sourcing strategies to identify candidates outside of typical recruiting channels and create pipelines of passive candidates to meet long term growth projections across PEAK6’s businesses
  • Build and maintain network of high potential candidates by marketing and branding PEAK6 in the technology community
  • Research and engage new markets to augment short and long term growth targets
  • Identify critical criteria needed to successfully manage the offer extend and close process
  • Demonstrate strong negotiation skills and ability to anticipate obstacles and present solutions during the offer process
  • Partner with external search firms to manage the quality and flow of candidates to bolster internal efforts for critical roles which have a short lifecycle
  • Partner with Human Resources and Legal to establish bench marks which allow PEAK6 to stay competitive in highly competitive, strong technical and financial community
  • Attend technically focused networking events/conferences to promote PEAK6 technology

Job Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience working in a corporate recruiting environment with an exceptionally high bar for talent, with at least 3+ years of experience focused on technology recruiting
  • B.A. in Communications, Psychology, Business Administration or commensurate degree
  • Proven understanding of the software development lifecycle: development languages, infrastructure, platforms and dependencies while working with proprietary applications
  • Experience utilizing social media/sourcing tools: Linked in Recruiter, Facebook, Twitter
  • Experience identifying passive, top tier candidates using networking and social media
  • Successful track record developing creative strategies on how to recruit passive candidates at all levels which match fit with motivation
  • Experience working in a fast paced, demanding environment; strong ability to prioritize/manage time
  • Strong drive and a focus on quality, detail and execution
  • Experience using online candidate tracking tools; Taleo (ATS) preferred
  • Responsiveness/flexibility to candidates schedules which may require recruitment during off hours; ability to attend quarterly after-hours networking events to increase PEAK6’s brand
